No Rules In Cooking

On Colicchio's Quote...

This is exactly my take on cooking as well. I prefer to experiment with different foods, trying new combinations or updating old favorites. I own a dozen or so cookbooks, but I have never followed one of their recipes. Instead I just use them for ideas in order to create my own version of the dish.

Next time you are looking for a new cookbook, why not buy a book that teaches you how to cook instead. For those starting out with cooking or wanting to learn a little more, why not try one of James Peterson’s books such as “What’s a Cook to Do?” or “Essentials of Cooking”.

A friend of mine, Greg Eck, has written a great book in which he teaches you various techniques, tips, and tricks that allow even the most basic beginners become masters of their own kitchens.

Check out “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Cooking But Didn’t Know How to Ask“.

For those who are more adventurous or already have a fair amount of cooking skill and knowledge under their belt, why not opt for a more advanced read. Some titles to check out are; The C.I.A.’s “Professional Chef“, James Peterson’s “Cooking“, and “Larousse Gastronomique“.

All of the books I’ve listed above can be found at any major bookseller, except for the book my friend Greg Eck wrote. To purchase Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Cooking But Didn’t Know How to Ask, simply click the title link to go to Xlibris.com.

I have not been asked to mention any of these books and I receive absolutely no compensation their mention. I just personally believe in each one of these publications and I feel everyone who reads them will become a better cook in the end.
